Best Apps You Are Not Using

In this modern age, our smartphones and their apps are becoming crucial, let’s say central part of our lives, and to be honest, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Apps like Uber and Google Maps make sure we are never late, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat keep us socially active and up to date about what’s happening around us and let’s face it, who could live without the basic apps like flash lamp and calculator? Furthermore, apps like WhatsApp and Viber are changing the way we communicate. Do you get the point?

All of these apps are constantly being improved so users could have the best possible experience. For example, Uber recently added a feature where the app can recognize if a passenger is drunk or not before the Uber driver comes to pick him up. It is all done by following some parameters like typing precision, angle under the phone is held paired with powerful AI.

These are all popular apps everybody is talking about, but did you know that there are 3.8 million apps on Google’s Play Store and 2 million apps on Apple’s App Store? Who knows how many great hidden gems are on both stores and it is practically impossible to fish them out of the endless sea of apps. We decided to go for a fishing, so you wouldn’t have to, and these are the coolest and most useful apps we came across.

Skiplagged

There are countless travel apps that can help you rent a car, book a flight or a hotel, room, plan your itinerary and the list goes on. The Skiplagged app does things a little bit differently. It helps you explore a hidden area of bookings called “Hidden City” flights which are layover flights to other destinations. Naturally, you can book these flights less expensively. It is not an easy process to perform but the app gives you the cheapest flights as a result. The app even provides advanced filtering options like flight duration, number of layovers and more.

Wakie Community

To someone, this app may seem a little bit weird, but it can be interesting. Wakie is basically a social app but for phone calls. The idea is that you can ask a random question to a stranger who may or may not be able to provide you with the answer. It is great to use when bored or when you just need someone to talk to. You can also create your own topics and the cool thing is that the app will match you with someone it thinks would make a good conversation partner.

Wifi Analyzer

Don’t be scared of the old-fashioned design this app has, which probably dates from the early days of Android. The app does its job and it does it very well. It shows you the channels Wi-Fi routers around you are using and helps you find less crowded one for your wireless router. This can be very useful when your connection constantly goes out due to the fact that multiple routers are using the same channel.
